The speaker that stood out the most was the Delegate of Uruguay. The Delegate concluded with an unforgettable parting sentence, “With this I rest my case but not my thoughts.” The Delegate got lauded by majority of the countries in the form of tapping on the table. Unhappy with this gesture of the delegates, the Delegate of Mexico raised a point of personal privilege, stating that the tapping on the desks disregards the parliament and requested the other delegates to limit the use of the table.
The Chair appreciated all the delegates by recognizing the increase in participation and encouraged the remaining delegates to participate as well. Finally after many countries failed to produce the correct motion to suspend meeting, the Delegate of Australia succeeded in raising the correct motion and the delegates felt a sense of relief as they broke for a snack.
