A member of the Indian National Congress reminded the committee the importance of an animal as they discussed about unnatural sexual activity. “Cow is only worshipped by Hindus, but in other cultures it’s eaten as beef; this is the identity that the LGBT society is having and I want them to have an identity of their own,” he said. Soon an informal session started and as if by reflex both BJP and Congress stood on opposing sides. They went a little over board and they shouted opposing cheers: “Modi haye haye.” Contradicted by “Sonia Gandhi is high.” The Chair was unhappy with this indecorous behaviour and reminded the committee that even if real politicians act that way, they are still delegates and need to behave in proper manner. He reminded delegates of the purpose of the MUN and said, “When you are here for something, you might as well achieve something.”
After these events transpired, the press conference began. The first task of the press was to question the representatives of AAP - Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. After being constantly questioned, Kejriwal had to repeatedly say that they were just agreeing with the ideologies of Congress and this just stays within the conference room. Later Modi was questioned, who simply said that they don’t want to scrape off section 377, they just want to amend it and hope for mind sets to change. The committee ended with this press conference and all went for the end, awestruck.
