The Delegate of France recalled Cuban history but the Delegate of Cuba believed that the statements made by the Delegate of France were factually incorrect which created a dispute between both delegates. Cuba tried to defend its country, which created conflicts with other nations. Halfway through the session the Chair announced that there was an update on the crisis situation- the USSR planned to retaliate and were heavily armed. The bored looks on delegates faces vanished and most of them were excited to discuss the new update. Another update during the session was the NATO had an emergency meeting that aroused a few inquiries by delegates.
As the motion of an un-moderated caucus was passed, delegates started shouting and the Delegate of Cuba also stated, “This is a crisis situation, everyone please come to the centre.” The ruckus and noise continued by all delegates and a few were so excited that a delegate said, “USSR, I'm just going to the washroom, please handle this… and don’t get bullied.” During this fifteen minutes, the Chair took the privilege to take a quick nap which clearly displays how exhausted the committee was.
