Day 1 Session 3
The committee commenced after lunch with a lot of enthusiasm and excessive lobbying among the delegates, followed by an unmoderated caucus. 15 minutes into the session, the rapporteurs addressed the committee, informing the delegates about the benefits of a Model United Nation conference. The executive board further went onto informing the delegates about the “Know-How” and rules of procedure followed in the committee. The executive board soon hinted toward the possibility of a crisis. They mentioned “a colleague” stating that, he is part of the Doctors Without Borders followed by “the situation is normal”. This was followed by claiming that the “colleague” is currently stationed in West Africa and will be updating them shortly in regard to the Ebola outbreak. As the General Speakers List reinstated, the Delegates of Nepal and South Sudan addressed the committee with some remarkable speeches that were appreciated by the Executive Board and in turn raised the morale of the committee. As the Delegate of Namibia confused Algeria with Nigeria the committee was engrossed in momentary amusement, delegates tried hard to maintain their composure. The committee ended with far more enthusiasm than the previous sessions.
